Copper Sulphate is an inorganic compound with blue colored solid appearance. It is known to have chemical formula CuSO4 with molecular mass of 159.609 g/mol in anhydrous form. This compound is widely utilized as an antifungal agent for controlling fungus attack on melons, grapes, and berries. In laboratories, it is utilized in formulation of Fehling’s and Benedict’s solution required for various pathological tests. Copper Sulphate also finds application in organic synthesis and as a dehydrating agent for synthesis of acetal groups.
